Being Intentional and Unrushed

Most times when I work with a client that is experiencing lack of harmony or pushy behavior from their horse; 2 things are almost always a factor.

1. Lack of clear intention and expectations for both parties.

2. There is an element of feeling rushed.

Consider if either of those apply to you when working with your horse or humans in your life.

If so, be more intentional about what it is you want the interaction to feel like and be about and that it’s something mutually beneficial.

Next repeat to yourself during your interaction “ I will not be rushed “

I have to be very intentional about not being rushed at feeding time and I purposely slow down. My herd has also benefitted and are more patient as a result!
